Looking At The Tennis Champion Rafael Nadal

Born in Manacor, Spain on June 3, 1986, no one might have guessed young Rafael Nadal would so shortly become a champ. His interest in tennis started at the tender young age of three and from then, his love of the game ended up as a line of work. Learn more about how he became what he is today and the list of achievements he had made in the world of tennis.

One awesome achievement this young champion made is winning the French Open. The part of his winning this competition that is unique is that he won it the first time around. He was also only nineteen years old at the time. Taking this open in force got him instant fame and the admiration of tennis fans around the world. He won four French Open games consecutively up until 2008.

The year 2008 brought another major accomplishment for this tennis super star. He took the Olympic Gold in this year. This year also caused another achievement that tells a great deal about this young mans personality as well. He set up the organisation called The Rafa Nadal Foundation. This organisation is for deprived children or those handling disabilities.

The influence from his family is how Nadal commenced on his road to celebrity and success. His uncle, Toni Nadal, got him started when he was 4 years of age. The love and attention his uncle took with him grew all though his infancy years and into his teens when he began to take the tennis world by surprise. This same uncle was his coach through Nadals pro tour.

While still a young competitor, this tennis champ played only one of the Grand Slam competitions before landing at the Wimbledon Championships in 2002. This is an extraordinary feat for one so young. His skill in tennis is stylish and strong. This style can be seen by his one handed forehand stroke. The unique aspect of this playing stroke is he commenced playing left handed. He changed into a professional tennis player in 2001.

Making history in the 2004 Davis Cup last competition, this young man was named the youngest ever player to win an international singles match. He was 18 years of age at this time, making his mark deeply in the minds of tennis fans all over the world. The next year, 2005, he set another record for being the youngest male player to win 11 straight competitions.

Rafael Nadal continued to make wins at one or two competitions and championship matches till the current time of today. He has made an indelible mark in the world of tennis in a way no other player before him ever has. Taking his age and number of achievements into consideration permits the room for a certain and dazzling sort of awe and respect.
