Paintball - Things to Avoid While in a Game

By Baxter Wells

It is easy to get caught up in the moment when playing paintball. There are times when the heart is pounding so tough that you just need to go with it. When you discover your self moving for moving sake... you should be weary. Most of the time letting your emotions take control like that gets you in trouble. Whilst every now and then you can come out having a fairly sick move... that usually isn't the case 9 out of 10 times. In the event you care to remain in the game longer, you need to use your brain. The more you know about what moves to make use of and what to not, the much better off you'll be.

Whatever skill level you're, each and every player can benefit from understanding the 7 things to avoid on the paintball field.

Move behind enemy territory with out informing your teammates. Doing this is just asking for trouble. You might also be taking on everybody by yourself. How will your teammates know you aren't an enemy? In most large games, this is usually ends extremely badly. Your team will consider everything that's in the direction of of enemy base to be an enemy. You will be considered no differently.

Follow an idiot into the battle. Greatest mistake I ever made. Worst component is, I did it 2 years in a row at Oklahoma d-day. This game had thousands of players, and somehow the greatest idiots managed to be in leadership roles in my platoon. Their game plans were vague hand movements that result in massive death-charges. Who wants to run into a well protected enemy force? Well, the idiots in 1st ID did.

Jump into a scenario game with only half a tank of air. Now if you have a monstrous tank then perhaps you don't require t fill it all the way, but for most players who have regular tanks, you need to remember to always fill up your tank before jumping into a big game. Absolutely nothing is worse than wasting paint with half distance shots that bounce off of opposing players. I've been there. It sucks.

Shoot before the pivotal component of an ambush. So many players shoot at all of the wrong times. They merely cannot keep it in their pants. The term "better late than never" ought to at all times be applied to ambushes. It's way much better to having one player in an enemy group spot you following he's stumbled into your ambush, then for you to blast away at the very first person you see... you got to exercise some patience here.
