These spas Brisbane tourists talk about... I'm hearing it all the time, and it's non-stop. Is your tour beginning to find a more moderate pace, now? Are you rubbing shampoo in your sunkissed wounds and holding your shoulder like it's about to fall off after supporting the weight of heavy luggage for weeks on end? Give up the notion that you're disinterested in a little bit of creature comforts now that you've been bullied by the harsh climate and trekking woes of a Brisbane tourist.
So you're here to have a grungy, orienteering bush trek - I'm savvy - but you can also pay your soul a bit of love while doing it. What's the thought that you're fresh out of ideas for your jaunt here, eh? Don't fret - or do, a luxurious facial will get out those wrinkles later on for you.
These 'relaxation retreats' often make a great surprise treat for someone you really care about (or a great prank for someone you don't, if they hate this kind of thing) but you know how it goes - surprises, surprises, the new dawn bloody rises (Ok, I don't know who said that, but it sounds good, doesn't it?)
Relaxation centres are the very symbol of opulence, and Brisbane has a veritable buffet of them, some in the middle of Bris, others a few concentric radii outwards. Without sounding uppity, you'll notice that a lot of these Beauty Resorts are in the more graceful suburbs here, so its' a good sensation to spend time in such sightly parts, and to be perfectly direct, I really think Brisbane is just a fantastic place to live. OK, Australian Chauvinism over.
Really what it comes up do is what do you want achieved: Do you want a hot stone massage, an hour in a sauna - do you have a special injury? These are all important things to think about but if you've ever been to a Health Resort before you know that it's like going to a Sizzler, except unlike a Sizzler, all-you-can-eat isn't limited by your stomach size!
Speaking of plates, if you haven't been to a Health Spa lately, you're certain to drool - literally, since a lot of them are restaurants too. Top that off with a swedish foot massage, and you're set.
Some services are friendly to spontaneous bookers, and you're recommended to go in and have a peruse at the place if you want to get a stronger impression of just where you're meant to be treated. Don't feel like you have put on your Monica Bing hat for this one, though - the whole point is that you turn off, and as a bold-faced pioneer from unchartered regions of the globe, you're demanded to do so.
The Health clinics Brisbane has to offer are all equally attractive and decorated, and luckily, if you're staying in an accomodation, there's likely to be either a deal or a pamplhet with deals on it, or even a Day Spa attached to where you're staying (not always, but sometimes, especially if you're staying somewhere more expensive). Either way, it's not important - you're going to win.
Got your itinerary handy? I would recommend just doing this, just once, at the very end of your trip. Gives you something to look forward. See you there, compadr.
