You will likely answer between 15 and 35 feet which is not bad but consider that with an increase in power the darts could be going two to three times that distance It's not out of the question. It's not out of the question. It's definitely possible. In fact, there are real instances of guns modded to fire at distances greater than 100 ft.
Secondly, it has to do with automatic blasters. With a weapon classified as automatic, 25 rounds of ammo can be emptied in 7-8 seconds. MODDING A blaster - INSTRUCTIONS
Luckily, it's not that big of a hassle to mod a blaster. In general, you can perform three kinds of enhancement on nearly all Nerf gun models. If you own a store-bought Nerf, you can actually perform three fundamental modifications. Strengthen the spring, eliminate air restrictors or mod the barrel by replacing it with a tube made of brass. The goal of all 3 steps is to add power to your firing capacity, making your blaster a real long-range weapon. You also have the option of making and using homemade darts, or "Stefans".
PART 1: Stronger Spring: To do it you'll have to unscrew the blaster and make sure not to misplace them. Taking off these screws gives you a chance to view the blaster's inner nuts and bolts, so to speak. In addition, the pulling system is the compartment containing the blaster springs. For instance, on a cs-18 model, it is located within the central section. Try purchasing some 20-pound springs, and they'll make your shot much more powerful. The kick is going to cause your gun to have a lot more power, so if you do not want your gun to completely break, you might have to use some PVC pipe afterwards in order to add more reinforcement to your blaster. Put the screws back in place and you are in good shape. Next, simply replace the screws; now you are ready to go. You probably won't have difficulty locating your weapon's spring mechanism.
PART 2: Take Out Air Restrictors: Air restrictors are pieces of plastic that cause you to waste about half of the energy you require to make your shot. You just need a couple simple tools for this task - a drill with a long drill bit and a screwdriver (with Phillips head). Now, remove your gun's screws again - keeping track of where to replace them. After removing the trigger on the cs-18 look in the middle for a tube that looks like a turret and locate the blocked space within that tube. The side that is opposite to this has a needle that points on the outer part of the tube about two-thirds of the way. If you drill out the part with the needle, you are not going to have any air restrictions, which allows you to shoot further than you might think. Keep in mind that the gun must be reassembled.
Part 3: BARREL MODDING: This is very easy to accomplish. As a rule, these barrels are crafted from low-grade plastic - not exactly airtight. You can take a 17/32 inch brass barrel that is the same exact size, and then replace it with a 17/32 inch brass tube; this allows a lot less friction, which then causes the barrel to travel a greater distance. All you need to do is remove the barrel and put a same-sized brass or copper barrel in its place. This particular step takes just about ten minutes of your time.
PART 4: MAKING 'STEFANS': Generally speaking, half-inch thick foam backer rod is the basis of Nerf ammo darts. Grab a bag containing 20 feet from a hardware store in your area, and guess what you've just purchased?. Basically, this equals 20 ft of dart raw material (you'll have to perforate them later, though) This gives you twenty feet worth of 'darts' - however, they do require perforating. Just trim this foam material to match the size of your darts; you can expect to get 75 out of one pack. All it takes is an ordinary blow dryer used on hair and a pillowcase from any pillow to do the cutting and straightening Leave the hair dryer turned on a minute or two, shake the pillowcase a bit, then allow them to become cool to the touch.
Next, use an empty glue blaster to create openings in the top at the center and then fill the hole with a BB and top it off with glue. It's possible to do a good job of creating 75 of these darts within a half hour or so. Take about half an hour, and that should give you time to make about 75.
Modding Nerf guns and building your own darts are fast and simple ways to maximize your enjoyment of your gun and its value should you ever wish to sell it.
