Top Modifications For The NERF NStrike Longstrike 6 Nerf Blaster

By Jerry Benson

Although you have a Nerf Vortex Vigilon which you like, but you are likely thinking that it is capable of providing more power. Let's get real for a minute. The gun can be made to fire farther, but Nerf always constricts it for safety reasons. You can significantly increase the power of your guns and take people down with greater speed and accuracy with the proper tools and a measure of patience.

HOW DOES Modding BENEFIT ME? For starters, it makes a drastic difference in your range. What fireing range does it have? What kind of fireing distance can you attain? Most likely, your response will be somewhere between 15 and 35 feet, which is not too bad. distances like those are not impossible or even all that rare. Some individuals modded their Nerf guns to shoot over 100 feet. The second benefit attaind by Modifying pertains to automatic firearms. Now, consider the decibel level of a gun going through the same number of rounds in 3 seconds flat! That works out to a rate of 8 rounds of ammo a second pummeling your 'prey'. Now, can you conceive of the sound created when those 25 rounds are cleared in only 3 seconds?

How Does Modifying Work? What is the procedure for doing a gun modification? You can increase the strength of the spring, take out the air restrictors or modification the barrel, and substitute it with some brass tubing. Another thing you can do is to craft your very own, functional darts, which go by the name 'stefans'.

Step 1: Make a Mightier Spring: Start this step by unscrewing your weapon, being careful not to misplace any screws. By removing screws and unscrewing the blaster, its inner workings are revealed. Springs can also be found within the pulling system. In terms of a CS-6 model for instance, the location is central. In truth, it is possible to invest in several twenty pound springs in order to really boost your firearm's firing power. It might be necessary to reinforce the gun with PVC pipe because the added power might create enough recoil to cause the blaster to shake itself apart. Now return the screws to their correct locations and you are ready. The last step is to put it all back together.

PART TWO: ELIMINATE ALL OF THE AIR RESTRICTORS: Air Restrictors are made out of plastic, and they use up and waste nearly one-half of the amount of energy you need for your shot. Get a drill with a long bit and a screwdriver with Phillips head. Remove the gun's screws one more time - paying attention to how to properly replace them. Once you remove the trigger from the CS-6 look near the middle of the blaster for a blocked opening inside a tube that has the appearance of a turret. Located on the opposing side is a needle; it extends around 2/3 of the way beyond the actual tube. If you drill out the area with the needle there will be no impediment to air flow and darts will fly further than you ever imagined. Don't neglect to assemble your gun again.

Step 3: Barrel Modding instructions: Don't let this simple step stop you from achieving your dream blaster truthory gun barrels are typically nothing but cheap plastic, so they aren't exactly airtight. The range the barrel provideD will be improved significantly if friction is reduced; this can be accomplished using a brass tube with similar dimensions (17/32 inches in diameter) as a new barrel. Just swap a copper or brass barrel of the same size for your current truthory gun barrel. This part requires only about ten minutes of your time.

Part 4: MAKING "STEFANS" A nerf dart is generally constructed from a 1/2" Foam Backer Rod. Do you know what you get when you buy a 20-ft sack of this at the hardware supply? You've got the basic ingredients for creating 20 ft worth of darts - albeit darts that are waiting for you to add a hole. Simply snip this into dart-sized lengths, making about 75 in total from one pack. Straighten and cut them utilizing a pillowcase and hair dryer. Keep the dryer running a minute or two, shake your pillowcase and allow everything to cool off. Now, using a glue gun (do not add any glue right now) carve holes in the top in the middle, place a BB in and then glue over the BB to fill it in. After a half hour, you can expect to crank out 75 fully-operational darts.
