Anyone wanting to get some fresh air while on the open road may want to experience Sacramento bicycle tours. The area has few hills or steep terrain. Tourists can easily enjoy a two wheel trip without having to worry about straining themselves.

There area has many historic sites to visit. Gold was discovered about forty miles east, and the city was a jumping off point for many of those who came to seek their fortunes. The downtown area also has several museums and a world famous zoo to enjoy.

The state is known for its natural wonders, and there are many state parks to visit that help provide recreation for both locals and tourists. Picnic tables and restroom facilities are plentiful and easy to find. Each park has its own unique character.

Although it is a major metropolitan area in its own right, the city also has several nearby wetlands. Wildlife can easily be seen from the bike routes. Animals of all kinds flock to the area because of its mild climate and sources of food.

The state has a wide variety of wine regions and Sacramento is no exception. Several Delta Wine region vineyards are nearby. There are not only dedicated trails to enjoy, but many roads also have wider bike lanes.

Tourists who want to slow down, in order to more fully enjoy their vacation in the Golden State, may want to plan on taking Sacramento Bicycle tours. They can travel at their own pace, and visit the areas less travelled. There are also excursions available for larger families or groups.
