Best Information On Fantasy Football Money Leagues

By Flora Vinson

More people have started playing fantasy football money leagues these days. There are many websites that now host these teams. Check for the league reliability to ensure that the teams that win will get paid.

Fantasy football was initially played in the 1960's. Some individuals from the NFL used their knowledge to create the initial iteration. Players performance was tied to cash payouts instead of scoring. An example would be that if a player scored a touchdown they would earn fifty cents instead of six points.

A players performance on the field scores points for their team. Different leagues will have different scoring systems. A possible scoring example is that a wide receiver would score a point for each 15 yards receiving they made in a game. Sometimes partial points will be accumulated for when a player does not reach the next point threshold.

Rosters will vary based on the rules for the league as well. Some will have each team put together the same amount of players at each position. This sort of team may include two quarterbacks, four running backs, four wide receivers. Another common option is that each team will have only a set amount of players on the team but not specified for each position. An example of this is that for a twenty team roster each team may have a different amount of each position they start.

Each manager should know the rules that will regulate their team prior to drafting. A players ranking will be drastically different based on scoring and roster rules. By knowing the rules a manager will be able to rank the players they will be drafting.

fantasy football money leagues are very popular these days. Before the draft a manager should understand how their team will score points and what their roster will look like. Checking the reputation of the league is important to verify that the winners will get paid.
