Sports provide us with some of the most watched media events in history, matched only by events such as the first man on the moon, royal wedding events and celebrity memorial services. However, no year is bigger for sporting events than the leap year, as not only do you have the European Football Championships, you have the Olympics.
This year, the Olympics is coming to the UK and everyone, including international clubs, fashion venues and local pubs will be watching. With the football, this is the biggest competition in Europe for the sport, excluding the FIFA World Cup. The question is, where are you going to watch all this?
At home, you'd have your own seat, your own choice of drinks on tap... and your own remote. But that's not going to give you what so many sporting events are all about - atmosphere. Atmosphere makes the difference between memories you can pass on to your grandchildren... and just another evening in front of the telly.
You just can't beat watching a sporting event with friends - there's nothing like it. There may only be two halves of 45 minutes, but your event can be an all-day affair: first come the food and drinks together with a bit of socialising and catching up. Next comes reliving highlights of previous games either outside on the lawn or indoors on the games console. Then it's time for the buildup of the game, with interviews and statistics going on in the background while a few beers fuel a bit of banter about which players should have been included... or dropped. Then, of course, there's the game itself and everybody focuses on those 22 men out there on the field. Emotions run high during both halves and at the end of the game some of you are going to party in celebration while others will drink to forget. Either way, whether you support the winning side of the losing side, the whole day is going to end up being a party you might just remember the following day - maybe!
If money is no object, then a members only club is an ideal place for both an excellent view of the sporting event on a super-size TV screen and the kind of atmosphere you'd otherwise only enjoy if you were actually at the event. And afterwards, hiring out the room and choosing your own music would turn a major sporting event into a major social event. Imagine, for a moment, the fun of hosting parties featuring big screen world-class entertainment... sporting passions rising throughout the day and passions of a different kind afterwards... and then everybody coming to you to organise parties like this for them!
