Paramotor: The New Backpack Airplane

By Luke E Hayes

Think back to when you were little with the world's possibilities at your fingertips. All you ever wanted to be was a pilot of a craft in the sky. Instead, now you just sit at home with your plane magazines and stay up late at night scrolling through plane forums with your internet learned knowledge. You would love to get your pilot's license and get your own plane, but there is just no time or money for that. So instead of just waiting for that day that will never happen, let a paramotor get you into the sky.

An ultralight is the category a paramotor falls under in the aviation system. These machines are sometimes referred to as motorized paragliders, but they are more commonly referred to as powered paragliders. The thing that separates the two flying machines is that these ones have a motor and a caged propeller strapped onto the pilot's back. This eliminates the need of a drop off to enable flight. This also means there is no need for a runway to take off at. This machine might as well be called a back pack airplane!

When it comes to paramotors, the best part is probably the flexibility of the crafts. Just like a car, these crafts can appease to any demand that the pilot makes. There are pilots that love a fast paced flight with adrenaline pumping twists and turns. There are also pilots that love to go low and slow and be able to take the amazing vista while letting all their worries go. Maybe you are the perfect combination of both of these and want a little of both in each flight, which is completely manageable! With this sport, anyone and everyone can learn how to fly with how easy it actually is to control these crafts.

Now that you have read all this, the biggest thing on your mind now is how on earth can this possibly be safe? Matter in fact, a paramotor can be safer than a motorcycle on most given days. This safety can be achieved through training. Without training, operating these crafts can be dangerous. Training can help prevent you from hurting yourself or other people around you. Training will help you have a successful flight every time.

Now that you know more about something other than your typical plane, don't go back to your boring magazine and websites! Check out how a paramotor can be cheaper for you today!
