How To Save On Your Trip To Disneyland

By Peterson Gallidwon

Disneyland is popular to both children and grownups. However, between how much you have to pay for tickets, fare, food, souvenirs, and hotel accommodation it can very easily get expensive, particularly if you are a parent bringing your family to Disneyland. Fortunately, there are tips on how to save money at Disneyland.

When to Go

If it is possible, pick an off-peak date, meaning, don't go during school breaks and holidays. By doing this, not only will you save money on accommodations, you will also fork out considerably less for airfare. Also, Disneyland is crowded during peak seasons which can keep you from enjoying the trip fully. Accommodation There is no doubt that Disney's hotels are gorgeous and your kids will really like staying in them, but rooms are limited and they are pricey. There are many accommodation options within a five to ten minute drive to Disneyland resorts and these usually offer wonderful deals specifically for groups.

Eat before coming and bring food

The prices for foodstuffs in Disneyland are no different than any other theme park - they are quite high. You can save money by eating before you go to the park. In many instances, there are buffet restaurants around Disneyland resorts where you can get bigger servings and more choices for the same price you'd pay at the amusement park. Bringing your own food and beverage items is generally not allowed in Disneyland theme parks, but they usually give exceptions should you have certain dietary restrictions. Also, they are usually not very strict when you carry food for your kids. So when you're going to the theme park put some food and drinks on your child's back pack. If you genuinely wish to eat at Disneyland, foods provided during lunch are usually more low-cost than at dinnertime. Also, come with your own small water jug as free, and drinkable is not easy to come by at the park.

Disneyland tickets

The price for Disneyland entrance passes is pretty much set, however there are special deals and promotions from time to time which can help save you money or add value to your ticket purchase. You can obtain discounted Disneyland tickets from the official website. There is a section for discounted tickets there, and new ones come up from time to time especially days ahead of the beginning of the season. Also, you can spend less if you get tickets from the internet rather than purchasing them at Disneyland theme park itself.

Discounted Disneyland tickets are also offered in places other than Disneyland, case in point, several hotels offer it with a few other incentives. You can also come across them in Internet auction sites but it is not recommended to get from these sources because multiple-day tickets offered there are in most cases already partially used.
