Being equipped with the right jiu jitsu gear is a must if you intend to start training in jiu jitsu and eventually take it a step further. More than something to be worn in the practice of the sport, the right gear would actually be contributory to your success in it. The sport has various pieces used as acknowledged apparel for the sport, and if you have, the cash to spend you can as well buy all of them. However, if you are short of money, try your spend to spend what your have on the crucial pieces for the Jiu Jitsu gear.

One cannot expect full success of Jiu Jitsu without the epitaph of the gear, the Gi. It is a special garment that pretty much represents everything that is important about the sport. Some refer to it by this name and others understand it the name Kimono is used in reference to the apparel. A top and a pair of pants basically make up the gi or the kimono. This is considered to be the official outfit when practicing jiu jitsu or competing. If you are familiar with the arts, you will note that all that practice the sport have a belt around their waist, which may be purple-blue, brown, white, or black. The belt in a jiu jitsu gear would be representative of the level of skill that has been attained by the person practicing the sport. The white belt would be accorded someone who is just getting started in the sport. Improving your skills by continuing your practice of the art would lead to the achievement of other belts. Your instructor would be the one who will give it to you. The black belt is what you would want since it is the highest distinction, but it could take you around ten years and a lot of competitions. Anybody wearing a Gi with a black belt only means one thing: they have earned it because of their high level of skill.

In jiu jitsu, the practitioners will come into a lot of contact with other practitioners. Thus, there is a need to be equipped with the proper gear to be able to perform the best you can. The gear you wear when doing Jiu Jitsu will help boost this important aspect. If you are heavily involved in floor trainings, you have to make sure you put on some rash guards. They will be useful in absorbing the impact or force that will be suffered by the body. Temperature regulation is also an advantage of rash guards since they could also absorb perspiration. But this gear is not permitted to be used in some duels.

Friction burns on the skin are inevitable for anybody who gets into any type of contact sport. The head becomes the main target here, specifically the ears. While grappling with the opponent, the ear will frequently brush hard against him. To prevent burns from hurting your ears, you must wear ear guards. Make sure you jiu jitsu gear includes all these four pieces so you can make the most of the sport.
