There are a lot of smaller and younger people who wants to experience driving and riding a motorcycle but usually experiences difficulty in doing so because of their difficulty to reach and hold the handles of a normal motorbike. , That is why mini street bikes were made. These types of street bikes are normally more petite and sleeker in built than the normal motorbike and they are also more affordable. Though they are smaller in built, mini street bikes are made to an exact replica of the normal motorbike in terms of craftsmanship, details and proportion which means they also have all the gears that a normal full-scale motorcycle contains like disc brakes, acceleration control, twist grip, lightweight alloy frame and racing tires. Therefore, despite the difference in their sizes, a mini street bike will provide the same thrill and excitement a normal motorbike can provide to its riders.

Because mini street bikes are considered as pocket versions of motorcycles, they can also be used for racing but they do have specially designed tracks. Also these kinds of bikes can run in either gas or electric power so mini street bikes have the option on what version they would like to purchase and use. Mini street bikes that are gasoline powered can reach up to a speed of 35mph and even 50mph if it is an open class machine. Aside from that, gasoline powered mini street bikes are equipped with a two stroke internal combustion engine. On the other hand, electric mini street bikes utilized rechargeable batteries as source of power.

The mini street bike is also known as "minimoto" and mini street bike racing is believed to have been developed in Australia though there are other claims that it originated and started in Italy. Despite of the small size that it has, about one-fourth the size of a normal motorcycle, racing these kinds of street bikes is known as one of the most popular sport in countries including Australia, Europe and Japan.

The following are some safety measures that mini street bike riders should be aware of:

-Proper riding gears like helmet, kneepads, elbow pads gloves and shoes should be worn to make sure that the rider is protected in case any untoward accident happens.

-It is important that you should take care not only of yourself but also take into consideration the safety of pedestrians and other motorists while driving.

-Some of the responsibilities of a rider or driver includes to follow necessary rules and to know whether or not he is in the right condition to drive. Drivers should make sure that when they decide to drive, they are not experiencing any conditions that might hinder them to drive properly.

-Be sure to store your mini street bike in a safe place and it should not be used by kids without proper supervision and guidance.

-Check up and maintenance of your mini street bike should be done regularly by a mechanic, this way you will be able to know immediately if there as need to repair or replace parts that have been damaged.

-Accumulation of too much dirt and grease may cause damage to your mini street bike that is why it is vital that you do regular cleaning of your bike.
