Improve Your Game With Some Back Weighting Golf Clubs

By Roseann Hudson

The perfect game is one with no pain and confusion. Many golfers are now using back weighting golf clubs as it makes the butt end of the club a little heavier. It is designed to move the steadiness towards ones hands and at the same time it will raise the overall motionless weight of the club. It will help to also lessen the swing weight making the head of the club feel much lighter.

There are two different ways of doing this to ones clubs and the first is going to a professional golf shop and asking for counter weights. The other is to purchase pre-counter balanced grips. These are called the Secret Grip and are a new invention.

A club has three parts to it; the head, shaft and the grip. They can either be bought separately or in a set. All sets consist of three woods, one hybrid, seven irons and a putter. The amount of clubs one is allowed to carry in the bag is fourteen so some players like to add another wedge or specialty hybrid.

When starting out with a new sport it can leave one a little confused as to what kinds of equipment would be the best to use. One will need to obtain drivers, woods, irons, wedges as well as putters to start off with. A driver or also sometimes referred to as a one wood, has a longer shaft and a rounder head. They are made so that the ball will travel longer distances then with any other type.

Shops that sell these secret grips are willing to give one a thirty day trial period. If there is no improvement on the swing they will take the grip back with no charge. However, one must place a call to them before the due date to inform them of the return.

Hybrids are a combination of the iron club shaft length and the woods head design. Irons are considered to be one of the worst clubs to play with as the shaft is very long. With the hybrids they are considered to be the best of both worlds. Since they were made many players are more inclined to change their three and four irons to one of them.

When constructing the club the shaft is the most important part as it is designed to specifically increase the accuracy as well as distance when the ball is hit. If the shaft is poorly made it can make unpredictable shots, slices and also reduce the distance the ball travels. The earlier ones were made from Hickory wood and tended to be light and whippy but also rather fragile.

Whether someone is just starting out or having played the game for many years using back weighting clubs will only improve one's game. It is a game that can be played outdoors where friends can have a break from the busy lifestyles that they lead. Getting together with friends over the weekend is proven to lower stress levels.
