Hunting is one of the activities that people enjoy a lot. Lastly, even privately owned lands are in some cases open to hunting by the public through special programs between the government and the owners.

On most public lands, access by vehicles ends when one reaches parking areas and trailheads. Beyond trailheads and parking areas, one may need to walk the rest of the distance to their prime hunting area. Other options for transportation include bicycle and horses. Different areas are governed by different rules and regulations and it is best to understand them before venturing out.

When hunting, one has to carry all the necessary gear. Knives, hunting tools, haul stands, and climbing sticks may be included. One should not forget food and water if they plan to spend the whole day away.
